I was a golf course superintendent, club manager and general manager among other things for 17 years but now I am a part time student (Masters in Environmental Science), part time teacher (I teach Turf subjects in Diploma in Golf Resort Management in KDU University College) and part time consultant. No, I don’t teach playing golf, I just do golf club and golf course management consultancy. I do turf consultancy for stadiums and parks too.

But before we get into an argument; I charge differently for construction, reconstruction or renovation works.

Other than consultancy services, I also provide training and education for the golf course. Among the topics that I do are basic and intermediate golf course maintenance; turfgrass pesticide applicator and machinery operator training. With 18 years of experience in the golf course from working on the ground as Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to managing clubs as Manager or Director, I can tailor-make programs for your particular problem.

I quote from RM1,500 per day for basic and intermediate training and up to RM4,000 per day for specialized technical training. Does not include meals, rooms, AV or such. For clubs/fields outside of Klang Valley, a surcharge for transport and meals is applicable. But what the heck; I’ll throw in a free one-time field visit for a win-win feeling.

And if you think training programs are expensive; consider that you are letting untrained staff spend anything from RM30,000 to RM200,00 a month worth of chemicals, fertilizers, fuels and other expendables in your golf course that costs you about RM4 million to 60 million ringgit to build. Of course, those trainings can be tailor-made for stadiums, football fields and even tamans.

Selain dari khidmat nasihat atau perunding, saya juga adalah seorang pelatih dan pendidik. Saya melatih pekerja dalam topic asas atau pertengahan tentang penjagaan rumput; tentang pengaplikasian racun makhluk perosak dan pengoperasian mesin di padang golf. Dengan pengalaman selama 18 tahun daripada padang hinggalah menjadi pengurus kelab terkemuka di Malaysia, saya mampu membentuk latihan khusus untuk masalah anda.

Saya mengenakan bayaran sebanyak RM1,500 se hari untuk latihan dan pengajaran Asas dan Pertengahan dan sehingga RM4,000 se hari untuk pengajaran khusus dan teknikal. Bayaran ini tidak termasuk peralatan seperti bilik, AV, makan dan sebagainya. Untuk kealab atau kawasan di luar Lembah Klang, saya terpaksa mengenakan bayaran lain untuk cover kos pengangkutan dan penginapan. Kita boleh bincang untuk one-time field visit melawat padang anda.

Jika anda tergolong dalam kelompok mereka yang merasakan bahawa latihan adalah mahal; tolong fikirkan bahawa SETIAP BULAN anda memberi (mencurahkan) sebanyak RM30,000 hinggalah RM200,000 dalam bentuk racun, baja, minyak dan sebagainya kepada pekerja yang tidak terlatih. Pekerja anda juga akan membawa mesin yang sama harga dengan sebiji Toyota Camry (mesin potong fairway) ataupun sama harga dengan Kancil (mesin potong green walk-behind).

Jika niat anda adalah untuk kita bekerja secara jangka-masa panjang, kita boleh bincang tentang harga dan kos. Anda juga boleh berbincang dengan padang atau kelab berdekatan anda untuk mengurangkan kos saya.
